I was born in Brooklyn, New York into a large Italian family. Was a student at the Arts Student's League of New York as well as a graduate of Hunter College. Went to Woodstock ... marched against wars ... traveled some in Africa and the Middle East and Asia and trekked in Nepal. My attraction to tattooing began in 1993 during a trip hitchiking thru east Africa ... all that beautiful scarification design ... gave up my 20 year career as a social worker to pursue art as a viable way of life ... I studied peircing and tattooing under a dynamic artist who gave me an old fashioned apprenticeship; instilling good ethical standards and competent skills.
Since opening our own shops we have created a tattoo family ... amongst us we cover most artistic styles ... each member of Primeval Ink is also an artist in his/her own right, their skills extending in various media beyond skin and ink ... then, there is our client family growing by leaps and bounds.
I love my job ... there's nothing like doing a good tattoo first thing in the morning ... I live in Olympia and work both there and in Monroe by appointment, every other week. Favorite tattoos to do are fine line, japanese or celtic or portraits.
When not at work you will probably find me in the garden or stable or perhaps on my bike or maybe wrapped up in a good book.
